Eli Utne covering “I Hung My Head” by Johnny Cash in New York City.
The great setting where this song is performed complements the mellow acoustic sound this young musician has.

Sudacas is a very fresh start-up from my home country, Ecuador. This webpage supports small artisans, letting the whole world know about their outstanding work. As said in their About Us section of the page, “We strive to work with Eco-friendly artisans, whose unique “one-of-a-kind” products have no negative effects on the environment.”
Lets all carry our iPads in shigras made by Waorani women in the Amazon; and travel on our surf trips protecting our boards with 100% recycled material bags!

A thorough destruction involving extensive loss of life especially through fire. (Merrian Webster Dictionary)
In human history there might be very few events as tragic and important to remember as the Holocaust. Around the world memorials in all forms are created to recall this tragedy. Together with the rise of these innumerable memorials, questions also appear. Why is this tragedy bound to be remmembered? Are we being fair to all the people who died in the Holocaust?
First, this event must be remembered in order to prevent and aware people. Informing people about these uncanny, gruesome events is our duty as human beings. Learning about the Holocaust puts us in the position of protecting and cherishing human kind. Summing up, I`d like to create conscience and a sense of unity in the world. Lets not destroy what makes up our species, it is like thinking that by cutting our own arm our body will work in a better way.

Today multilingualism is in fact a must-have in our resumes. In my case being bilingual has been much more than a benefit, it served as a great tool for crucial moments. Also, according to an article by YUDHIJIT BHATTACHARJEE, published in The New York Times, people who speak more than one language develop specific regions of their brain more in depth than how monolinguals do. As stated in this article, bilingualism stimulates cognitive skills, quick task switching abilities, and improves short and long term memory.
For me, bilingualism facilitates many goals to be accomplished. Likewise it helps me enjoy some of my treasured hobbies and broaden my knowledge immensely. Reading foreign newspapers, translating book passages, and having thoughtful conversations in another language are some of the most enjoyable things I do using English as my secondary language. Lets not forget music. Music is probably one of my greatest pleasures, and listening to a beautiful song and understand its lyrics is magical.
Being bilingual has not only given me the opportunity to understand different words in songs, it has also opened my mind to conceive the little I know about Earth in a different perspective.
